Leacross Foundation Supports Biomedical Engineering Internships at CHEO
The Leacross Foundation is committed to supporting initiatives that provide valuable educational and career development opportunities for women and children. We are pleased to announce our support for summer internship opportunities at CHEO (Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario), focused on biomedical engineering as of May 2025.
Investing in the Future of Biomedical Engineering
Located in Ottawa, Ontario, CHEO is a leader in pediatric health care and research center. These internships will contribute to their Biomedical Engineering Technologist (BMET) Training Program.
The CHEO BMET Training Program offers a comprehensive and structured approach, integrating technical expertise, clinical environment exposure, and adherence to standards. The summer internships funded by the Leacross Foundation will provide a hands-on experience for aspiring biomedical engineering technologists within this program. It will equip trainees with the practical skills and systematic knowledge necessary to excel in the dynamic field of biomedical engineering.
A Commitment to Healthcare Innovation
By supporting these internships, the Leacross Foundation is investing in the future of healthcare innovation. We believe that providing practical training and experience is essential for developing skilled professionals who can contribute to advancements in medical technology and patient care.
